As a follow-up to yesterday’s post about my dad, I wanted to share this poem with you. My friend Steve Batterden sent it to me, and I really appreciated the message.
If red roses grow in Heaven, Lord, pick a bunch for me;
Place them in my Dad’s arms and tell him they’re from me.
Tell him that I love and miss him, and when he turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for a while.
Because remembering him is easy, I do it everyday;
There’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.
I love you.. Happy Father’s Day Dad!
