Dermontti Dawson was recently elected to the National Football Hall of Fame. Dermontti was a young man who I had the pleasure to coach at the University of Kentucky. I was insturmental in Dermontti’s move to playing center – a position sometimes referred to as the “quarterback” on the line of scrimmage because the center analyzes the opposing team’s defense. The other coaches questioned whether Dermontii could handle this transition, but I believed in him. I guess he proved them wrong!
Congratulations Dermontti, for winning the game’s highest honor.
