I was so glad you all seemed to enjoy my two essays looking back on 25 years at McShea. I had more e-mail and verbal feedback on those two posts than for anything else I have written. The comments were so good that I wanted to share some of them with you here. First, from another McShea oldtimer who was with us in those early days:
Hi Ro: I was on a property tour last week with an owner when your words of encouragement popped up on my blackberry. I was dying to read it… I kept sneaking peaks at it during the tour, but then had to set my attention of my meeting. I was going through my emails this morning and finally finished reading it!
Awesome as usual! I remember when you first started and I typed of one of your commission forms. It was around $300 and I felt sorry for you. — I don’t know why, I am sure you were already making more than me, but I did. Soon after, some whooper of a commission came through for you and as I was typing it. I didn’t feel sorry anymore! – Em

Ro, great close! Those Lang’s are an interesting crew. I leased from Marvin (indirectly through my employer at first) for 11 years; he was always very fair to me. He was the one who inspired me to go out on my own. I remember it like it was yesterday, he asked me “who gets you your business, your company or you?” I replied, “me.” Then he asked “then why aren’t you doing this on your own?” and that’s how it all started. I wonder who else he’s inspired. Thanks for the great email!
